Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take to develop my site? How soon can we start?

Once Hawkeye Design Group has all your site's text and images in final form and a signed contract and deposit, a typical 5-page site will normally take 30-45 days. In order to move forward on a project, it's important to have all your final version content ready to go. We're happy to help you gather what you need if you require assistance getting everything together.

If you need something very quickly, there will be a rush fee.

Okay, I might want a site. How does the design process work?

First, we'll spend time gathering information about what type of site you're looking for, what you like and dislike, who your target audience is, and how we can fit your budget. Then, we'll begin designing and creating mock-ups of your site while you gather the content (text and images). After you approve the design concept, we'll begin building your website. This is often the longest phase in the process. We'll build the project, test it, and then make it available on a temporary site for you to test. Once we receive your final approval, we'll take the site "live" and submit it to the search engines for you.

Can you update content on my site when I need it even after the design is completed?

Of course. We'll simply bill you monthly at our hourly rate.

What about updating the site myself?

We can create or redesign your site using a "content management system" so that you can easily update content yourself, even if you don't know how to write code for the web.

Do you have any website hosting solutions?

Yes, we offer a full-service hosting package for a low monthly price. Depending upon the pricing level you choose, hosting may be included in the package.

Do I get email accounts?

Yes, email addresses come standard as part of our hosting package.

What about domain names?

We can take care of that for you. Depending upon the pricing level you choose, a domain name may be included in the package.
